There's absolutely no way you can complain about the Wizards' performance in the NBA Summer League last week. The team went 4-1, John Wall won the Most Outstanding Player, Sam Cassell impressed as a coach and JaVale McGee starred and made the All-Tournament team.
↵But because we're Wizards fans, we always look to the past to find those guys who got away. What can I say? It's part of our DNA. Is it irrational? Of course. Is it understandable? Chris Webber, Ben Wallace, Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, Earl Monroe and many others say yes.
↵So it is my duty to inform you of the two bolded names on the Summer League All-Tournament team.

Sam Young (Memphis)
JaVale McGee (Washington)
Reggie Williams (Golden State)
DeMar DeRozan (Toronto)
JJ Hickson (Cleveland)
Ty Lawson (Denver)
Dominique Jones (Dallas)
Derrick Caracter (LA Lakers)
Larry Sanders (Milwaukee)
Gani Lawal (Phoenix)
Jermaine Taylor (Houston)
Alonzo Gee (San Antonio)
Taylor was the player the Wizards selected with the 32nd pick in the 2009 NBA Draft (the pick that should have been DeJuan Blair) and promptly gave to the Houston Rockets for cold hard cash. Gee was the player the team brought in from the D-League last year, only to let him go back to San Antonio after he impressed.
↵It's only Summer League, and the team is doing well enough where we don't have to ... oh hell, GET THOSE PITCHFORKS BACK OUT WIZARDS FANS! GET THEM OUT! IT'S TIME TO RIOT! DON'T MAKE ME SAY IT TWICE!
