There are many reasons Nationals fans love Drew Storen. For one thing, he's pretty good. For another, he's the hope for a bullpen that has mostly relied on castoffs and surprises this year. But most of all, he remains humble, earnest and genuinely down-to-earth despite all the success he's already had in his short career.
↵Those qualities really shine through in an excellent piece by Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star today. The column takes a look at how Storen remembers his roots and does everything he can to make sure his family and his peers back home in Indianapolis are involved in his success. It's a great read and I strongly recommend reading the whole thing here.
