Today, two somewhat differing sentiments regarding the Washington Capitals offseason could be found within the SB Nation network.
↵On the one hand, Brian Murphy is concerned. The Caps seemingly could use a second (and possibly third) line center, depth at defense, and some leadership and grit.
↵↵↵And yet, the only move McPhee has made was acquiring a minor league goalie you've never heard of. This is why I'm trying really hard not to panic.
↵
On the other hand, Becca H at Japers' Rink implores Caps fans not to panic:
↵↵↵The season doesn't start July 1 and end July 2, the Cup isn't handed out in August and there is plenty of time - there's time to let the "unproven" guys prove themselves, to see what we have and what we don't have, and turn this team into a true contender...by playing it smart.

No additional commentary necessary; I'll leave it up to you.
