The Capitals/Bears Welcome Two New Players To Washington/Hershey

The Hershey Bears won the Calder Cup last season, and if the Capitals organization has anything to do with it, they'll win it again next year. On Wednesday, the Caps signed two players with the potential to contribute not only to the parent club, but also their minor league affiliate, according to John Walton.

Breaking news: Left wing Kyle Greentree and defenseman Brian Fahey have been inked to two-way contracts WSH/HSY

Neither Greentree nor Fahey will be considered the big free agent acquisition the Capitals needed to build on their disappointing playoff exit, but the added depth certainly can't hurt. These are players who will help both clubs, but they will ilkely make a bigger impact in Hershey. I know that if the Caps could have it their way, however, come June of next year, Greentree and Fahey will be lifting the Stanley Cup, not the Calder Cup.
