The Washington Mystics Have A New Fan (Hint: He Lives In A Big, White House)

President Obama has been to a few games since taking office. He's been spotted at Nationals Park for a Stephen Strasburg start against the White Sox. He caught his hometown Bulls take on the Wizards back in 2009. He watched his brother-in-law coach when Oregon State came to town to play George Washington and he watched Georgetown take on Duke.

If people had to guess where Obama would show up next, I think most would have picked an appearance at FedEx Field or checkinig out a Capitals game, but Obama threw everyone a curveball by showing up to today's Mystics game.

There are many details as of yet, but we do know he's sitting beside Ted Leonsis. And here are a few (grainy) photos from his appearance.

In a season where the Mystics have flirted with being the best team in the Eastern Conference throughout the season, this is just the kind of popularity boost they need.
