Larry Johnson was supposedly cruising around some D.C. nightclubs last Saturday, which is totally his right. This isn't a commentary where I act as the annoying fan that bashes every athlete for having the nerve to occasionally have some fun.
↵This is a commentary, however, where I (sort of) bash Johnson for something having to do with that night. Apparently, he was DJing at Bar 7 in the Penn Quarter, and not doing a good job at it. Via D.C. Fab:
↵↵↵Johnson got on the turntables at Bar 7 in Penn Quarter. Since the music bug hit him, Johnson has somehow convinced promoters, marketing directors and club owners in many cities to get him on the wheels of steel - but somebody should tell him that he sucks! In Miami, I hear he cleared the dance floor and it looks like his bad DJ skills extended to Bar 7.
↵
D.C. Fab quotes one person who was at Bar 7 and wasn't thrilled with LJ's DJing. I guess that's proof enough.
↵Still, doesn't this seem kind of harsh? I mean, LJ is a football player, not a DJ. It's not like he has much time to sharper his skills, right?
