↵The year was 2002 and Steve Spurrier's Fun 'N Gun offense was taking the league by storm. The Redskins opened the preseason with a 38-7 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the American Bowl, then went on to score 37, 35, and 40 points in the rest of the preseason.
↵The Mike Shanahan era so far looks very much like the Steve Spurrier era. Hopefully this is where the comparisons end.
