Jim Bowden: 'Don't Make Me Out To Be Elijah Dukes'

In case you were wondering: no, former Nationals GM Jim Bowden won't go away. Yesterday, he used a portion of his radio show to rant about stuff Thomas Boswell wrote about him the other day. Today, he went on the Mike Wise Show on 106.7 The Fan and unleashed one of the more non-sensical lines I've ever heard a hated former GM say.

Bowden on w/ @HoldenRadio: on Boswell article, "Don't make me out to be Elijah Dukes in the clubhouse."

Last I checked, nobody was claiming Bowden beat up his girlfriend, but hey, what do I know? Maybe I missed something. But more incredibly, after saying that, Bowden told Wise and co-host Holden Kushner that he regrets only two things during his tenure: re-signing Dmitri Young to a big contract extension, and ... get this ... not giving Dukes more of a chance to grow as a player.

In other words, Bowden essentially dissed himself. Nicely done, Jim!
