Former Redskin Randy Thomas Signs With The Dolphins

When Randy Thomas suffered a season-ending injury last September with the Redskins, it looked like his career would be in jeopardy. The Redskins, predictably, released him in March, and there were no takers for the 34-year old.

Until now. Needing some offensive line depth, the Miami Dolphins have reportedly signed Thomas, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The Dolphins didn't wait long to find a replacement. Wearing No. 65 at practice today was 10-year veteran guard Randy Thomas, who started all 143 games he played in with the Jets and Redskins from 1999-2009. To make room for Thomas, the Dolphins waived free agent receiver Ryan Grice-Mullen.

Thomas is one of the good guys in football, so this is great news for him. Here's hoping he can hang around and be a contributor for the Dolphins this season.
