Today marks Day 1 of the week-long Legg Mason Tennis Classic at the Fitzgerald Tennis Center in Washington D.C. World No. 8 Tomas Berdych and world No. 9 Andy Roddick headline a strong field, and there will be a new champion, as 2009 winner Juan Martin del Porto is not in the tournament. Qualifying matches were held over the weekend to determine the last few spots in the field. For a full recap of those matches, head to SB Nation's tennis blog The Daily Forehand.
