Mystics Take On New York Liberty In Pivotal Eastern Conference Showdown

Mystics guard Lindsey Harding hit a layup with 8.8 seconds to go to lift the Mystics to a 75-74 win over the New York Liberty on Friday night. The layup lifted the Mystics to their fifth straight win and keeps hope alive that the Mystics could still claim the home court advantage in Eastern Conference.

The win puts the Mystics ahead of the Liberty in the Eastern Conference standings, and only half a game behind the Indiana Fever for the top spot. However, the Fever only need to win one of their final two games in order to clinch the top seed in the East.

The Mystics were able to survive on a night when Crystal Langhorne wasn't at her best, only scoring 13 points and pulling in seven rebounds. However, three other Mystics stepped up on Langhorne's off night with double-digit scoring performances, including Harding.

The Mystics will head to Atlanta to face the Dream on Sunday afternoon in their season finale.
