Albert Haynesworth Can't Get It Right

Just when you thought the tides were starting to turn in Albert Haynesworth's favor, the saga took another strange turn this week.

He had aleady passed his test. He was practicing. He was playing in preseason games. But then he starts missing practices for "[air quote] headaches [air quote]".

↵

First he has rhabdomyolysis. Then he doesn't. If he had it, wouldn't somebody tell the coach? Shanahan says he's not aware of that illness. At least this means that all us blogger types have learned a new word!

As soon as it was starting to look like Haynesworth would no longer be the villain of D.C. sports, the tide turned against him. And now we have Sally Jenkins comparing him to an aspic, a baby, and Trevor Pryce (I'm not sure which is worse) in her scathing column in the Washington Post this evening.

Haynesworth was the recipient of LaVar Arrington's prestigious "Can't Get Right" Award on his show last week. There's a pretty good chance he'll be the leading candidate again this week.
