By now, you know all about Rob Dibble's comments about Stephen Strasburg's, ummm, resiliency, and his subsequent attempt to backtrack.
↵When that first happened, I wondered aloud how this would affect Dibble's relationship with the Nationals, considering he works for their broadcast affiliate, and is in many ways tied to the organization. There's been no official word from the team yet, only this tweet from Jerry Crasnick:
↵↵↵Heard today that Nats GM Mike Rizzo is "madder than a hornet'' over Rob Dibble's rant that Strasburg needs to "suck it up'' & pitch.
↵
Who says "Madder than a hornet?" That's the type of phrase I would expect to see painted on the side of a bomber from World War II, so I hope that's a quote directly from Rizzo. Meanwhile, Dibble isn't announcing tonight's game. I can't wait to see how this whole thing ends.
