Tonight's recommended options (all times EDT):

Soccer
10:00, ESPN2 - D.C. United at Chivas USA. ESPN must be feeling pretty good about the fact that their MLS Game of the Week features the last place team in the East versus the last place team in the West. One reason to watch though: Chivas is honoring United legend Jaime Moreno before the match in his final visit to L.A.

Basketball
8:00, ESPN2 - New York Liberty at Indiana Fever. Learn who the Mystics would have faced in the WNBA Playoffs if they hadn't been upset in the first round.

Football
8:00, FOX - Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos. Will there be more signs in the stands in support of Tim Tebow, or more "She said no!" signs in honor of Ben Roethlisburger?

Other stuff you shouldn't care about but do
8:00, NBC - 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Will Lost finally win an Emmy following their final season? Boo at your television when some mini-series director you've never heard of goes long on his acceptance speach.

7:00, 8:00, 9:00, TLC - Hoarding: Buried Alive. Watch in horror as people lose control of their homes and lives. Count the number of dead rodents that are discovered.

10:00, AMC - Man Men. There's not much new original programming on during the summer, but this is probably the best show on television that you don't watch. And I can write it off as sports-oriented because they've done ads for jai alai!
