Livan Hernandez has pitched well for the Nationals this season. General Manager Mike Rizzo agrees. The Nationals signed the 35-year old right-hander to a one-year extension today.
According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com, the deal will be worth $1 million in 2011, and will include incentives to improve his earnings.
Rizzo announced the deal today following the team's 4-2 win over the Cardinals. MASN has the video.
Hernandez has a 9-9 record this season with a 3.49 ERA over 27 starts.
