It goes without saying that I love Washington D.C. If I didn't, I would be out of place writing for this site. Therefore, I love when outsiders say they love Washington D.C.
↵However, a part of me can't help but chuckle at this quote Andy Roddick gave yesterday. Via Ben Rothenberg, who runs SB Nation's tennis blog The Daily Forehand and is helping us out with Legg Mason coverage this week:
↵↵↵"I enjoy Georgetown, and that area, and cruising around there, picking up the little subtleties. And the drive through Rock Creek--all the little things are something that--the more familiar you are with a place, the more comfortable you become, and I feel extremely comfortable here. So it's always a pleasure to play here, and to come back."
↵
Obviously Roddick thinks of the most upscale place in D.C. first when talking about the city. Dupont Circle must feel snubbed.
↵(In all seriousness, I love that Roddick loves D.C. Just poking a little fun).
