Report: Redskins May Receive Hall Davis From Rams In Dennis Morris Trade

We may soon know what kind of compensation the Redskins will receive in return for tight end/fullback Dennis Morris. The Redskins are reportedly evaluating the merits of receiving defensive end/linebacker Hall Davis from the Rams in the trade, according to TBD's Mike Jones.

This does not mean they have finalized the trade, but we at least have an idea of where the Redskins are leaning.

Davis was St. Louis' fifth-round pick (149 overall) this year. He played his college ball at Louisiana-Lafayette and was projected by many to go as high as the fourth round in the draft. Here's more on him from SB Nation's Rams blog Turf Show Times.

When asked about the trade, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said it doesn't make sense to keep a rookie, suggesting that "the worst thing people do is keep a draft pick just to keep a draft pick."
