The Redskins already have Chris Cooley and Fred Davis, but they could use a blocking tight end to replace the departed Todd Yoder. Evidently, that person will not be rookie Dennis Morris.
Why? Morris, the team's sixth-round pick this year, has been traded to the St. Louis Rams, according to John Keim of the Washington Examiner. Coach Mike Shanahan confirmed the move today, saying Morris wasn't going to make the team anyway.
It remains unclear what the Redskins will receive in the trade.
