Roger Goodell: NFL Will Still Investigate Santana Moss' Connection To Anthony Galea

The Santana Moss HGH allegations had mostly died down in the public eye, but not with the NFL. In an appearance at Redskins training camp this afternoon, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is still looking into the matter.

Via John Keim of the Washington Examiner:

The Redskins haven't expressed outward concern over a suspension involving Santana Moss. But NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is still investigating the matter.

And that's not just because of Moss; numerous other NFL players have been linked to arrested Canadian doctor Anthony Galea. He's been charged with smuggling illegal drugs into the country and injecting pro athletes with these substances. Moss has admitted receiving treatment from Galea, but has denied taking human growth hormones, which are banned in the NFL.

Goodell isn't making any value judgements, but did make clear that the league is investigating Moss as part of a "overall criminal investigation" it's following. For his part, Moss told Rich Campbell of the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star that the whole saga "ain't nothing I care to discuss."
