Nalbandian Defeats Baghdatis 6-2, 7-6

David Nalbandian has completed his surprising run, and won the Legg Mason Tennis Classic by defeating Marcos Baghdatis 6-2, 7-6.

It's unclear how far Nalbandian, who came into the Classic ranked 117th in the world, will jump up in the ATP World Rankings based on his victory today, but his play this week will certainly serve as announcement to the rest of the tennis world that Nalbandian is ready to the top-10 form he showed before a recent string of injuries.

Nalbandian's victory also extends Argentina's recent dominance at Legg Mason. Argentinians have now won the last three tournaments, with Juan Martín del Potro winning the event in 2008 and 2009.
