This happened over the weekend, so apologies for missing it. But I couldn't help but notice that one nondescript former Wizard made the list of NBA legends and all-stars that played in Barack Obama's presidential pickup hoops game.
↵↵↵Obama, who turned 49 on Wednesday, took to the court for a game with a stunning list of all-stars, including Grant Hill, Shane Battier, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Derek Fisher, LeBron James, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Maya Moore, Alonzo Mourning, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Bill Russell, Etan Thomas, Dwyane Wade and David West.

Thomas, of course, is very active politically and has done a lot of work in the D.C. community, especially with his slam poetry events, so he definitely deserved to be at the pickup game if only for his off-court generosity. I just couldn't help but chuckle when I read the words "stunning list of all-stars" in the same sentence as "Etan Thomas." Maybe Etan is an all-star fighter, but he certainly wasn't an all-star NBA player.
