Marlins Defeat Nationals, 6-5, To Complete Series Sweep

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Mike Stanton slugged two home runs and drove in three as the Marlins held on for a 6-5 win and a three-game sweep of Washington at Nationals Park.

Stanton hit Nos. 19 and 20 on the year with the rookie ending 3-for-4 with a walk. Emilio Bonifacio was also 3-for-4 and scored twice with an RBI and walk as Florida won for the eighth time in 12 games.

Chris Volstad was shaky at best in 4 2/3 innings, charged with eight hits and five runs, four of those earned.Brian Sanches (1-2) pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to get the win.

Jordan Zimmerman (0-1), making his fourth start of the season, was roughed up for five hits and five runs -- four earned -- in only three innings for the Nationals, who lost their fifth straight.

Ivan Rodriguez knocked in three of Washington's runs, while Ryan Zimmerman and Roger Bernadina each collected two hits and an RBI.
