The Redskins opened the second half with an excellent drive, marching down the field and into the red zone. Unfortunately, they got no points out of it.
Punter Josh Bidwell fumbled Nick Sundberg's snap on a 23-yard field goal attempt that would have given the Redskins a 13-0 lead. Sundberg's snap was a little high, but Bidwell should have been able to handle it.
Ironically, the miscue came after a drive that includes a series of miscues from the Cowboys. An offsides call on an earlier field goal attempt gave the Redskins a first down, and an illegal contact penalty wiped away an interception. Unfortunately, the Redskins couldn't capitalize in the red zone, as Donovan McNabb failed to connect on two straight fade routes to wide receiver Anthony Armstrong.
The Cowboys now have the ball and are driving trying to get back into this game.
