Defensemen John Carlson and Karl Alzner have been competing for two years now for ice time with the Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals. Now they'll compete for something much more important: Twitter followers.
↵Their arrival to the social networking medium was announced by teammate Eric Fehr tonight.
↵They've both won two-straight Calder Cups with the Bears, but the smart money is on Carlson to win the race for followers, if only for his incredible game-winning goal in the U.S. World Junior Ice Hockey Championships earlier this year. Don't count out the scrappy Canadian Alzner though.
