Arizona’s third-string QB Max Hall led a 12-play, 81-yard drive, capped off by an Alfonso Smith three-yard touchdown run to give the Cardinals a 10-3 lead over the Redskins at halftime.
Graham Gano came up short on a 58-yard FG attempt just before the half.
The Redskins have alternated quarterbacks each drive. Richard Bartel drew the start and led the Redskins to a FG. John Beck, fresh off signing a contract extension which will keep him in Washington for two years, is 4-8 for 47 yards.
Washington’s defense has been led by a strong performance from LB Robert Henson (five tackles and a sack). Albert Haynesworth has seen some action, but has yet to make his mark on the stat sheet. He is still in pads to start the second half according to CSN Washington’s Ryan O’Halloran.
