Justin Gilbert, the starting left tackle for the Maryland Terrapins football team this season, will miss the entire year with a torn anterior cruciate ligament according to D1scource.com's Patrick Stevens.
The 6-foot-6, 300 pound Gilbert emerged as a valuable contributor for the Terps last season as a redshirted freshman and was expected to anchor one of the most important positions on the football field this season.
Stevens reports starting right tackle R.J. Dill will take over at left tackle and Pete DeSouza, a redshirt freshman, will start at right tackle on Saturday against Florida International.
