Anderson To Be Introduced On Tuesday At Maryland

According to Eric Prisbell and Steve Yanda of the Washington Post, Kevin Anderson will be introduced by the University as Maryland's newest Athletic Director on Tuesday. While some may question his experience, Maryland will be counting on Anderson to guide the program for many years to come.

"Kevin has built a solid program of competitive and academic success at the U.S. Military Academy, supporting the student-athlete and demonstrating that academics and athletics can go hand in hand," Wallace D. Loh, Maryland's recently appointed president, said in a statement. "I am convinced that his leadership will raise Maryland Athletics to even greater heights. We are delighted to welcome Kevin into the Terrapin family."

Anderson will be just the fourth African American in the country to hold the Athletic Director title with a BCS school.
