Georgetown Hasn't Been 1-4 In The Big East Since 1998/99

Georgetown is currently trailing Pittsburgh by double digits in the first half, and that’s bad news for many reasons. Here’s one more to consider:


As the ESPN broadcast noted, the Hoyas haven’t started 1-4 in Big East play since 1998/99. That was the year John Thompson abruptly resigned in January and Craig Esherick took over. That team finished 15-16 and just 6-12 in the Big East.
