Mike Leach Loses Appeal Against Texas Tech

You can add this to the laundry list of reasons the University of Maryland should be happy that they didn't hire Mike Leach as their head football coach this winter. Leach has hit another roadblock in his effort to recover some of the money left on his contract when Texas Tech fired him last year.

An appeals court has thrown out former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach's breach of contract claim against the school over his 2010 firing ... The ruling allows Leach to try to show Tech's reasons for firing him were wrong, but without monetary relief. Leach's attorney plans to appeal the breach of contract claim to the Texas Supreme Court.

It'd be one thing if Leach lost his appeal and decided to move on. But the fact that he continues his legal efforts makes me think he doesn't realize that this is the exact type of thing that is keeping schools with job openings from considering him. Stack that paper, Mike. Stack that paper.
