It's pretty incredible to type this, but the Washington Wizards have not won a road game all season. The New Year's Eve loss to the Indiana Pacers dropped the Wizards to 0-16 on the road this season. Tonight, they will attempt to get their first win when they travel to take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
On the surface, this is a winnable game. The Wizards have already defeated Philadelphia twice this season, and the 76ers are returning home after an eight-game road trip. However, the 76ers have played well recently, with wins at Denver and Phoenix and tight losses to the Lakers and the Hornets on the road. They are a better team now than they were in November.
Andre Iguodala remains out for the 76ers with an injury. In his absence, Jodie Meeks, Evan Turner and Andres Nocioni have stepped in admirably to fill the void.
The game will begin at 7 p.m. and be broadcasted on Comcast SportsNet.
