Air Force Vs. Navy: Falcons Ferocious In First Quarter, Lead Midshipmen 14-3

The Air Force Falcons look determined to defeat the Navy Midshipmen for the second year in a row and get one victory closer to retaining the Commander-in-Chief's trophy. Air Force scored on a 52 yard pass from Tim Jefferson to Ty MacArthur less than two minutes into the game, and added another touchdown via Jefferson's legs after a 13 play, 80 yard drive.

The Falcons have dominated the Midshipmen statistically, amassing 146 yards of total offense to Navy's 62. The Midshipmen have been unable to stop the Falcons on third down, as Air Force was five for five in the first quarter.

Navy finally got on the scoreboard with 14 seconds left in the quarter, courtesy of a Jon Teague 25 yard field goal.

The announced attendance in Annapolis today is 37,506, the fifth largest crowd ever at Navy Memorial Stadium. Hopefully the Midshipmen can provide the crowd some offense in the remaining three quarters.
