The Ultimate Fighting Championship hits Washington D.C. tonight with an action-packed card. The fighting begins early and viewers who want to see the early under-card action can tune in through this link. The main action starts at 9 p.m. on Versus.
The main event pits Dominick Cruz against Demetrious Johnson. Bantamweight champ Cruz comes into the fight on a nine-fight win streak and is becoming one of the best pound for pound fighters on the circuit. His opponent tonight, Johnson, is relatively new within UFC and has shot up the ranks. Though Cruz remains a heavy favorite, Johnson is an unknown, and that can always pose a danger. One of the more interesting fights on the card features two fighters with a 12 -inch difference in height. Pat Barry comes in with a 6-3 record and stands 5'11". His opponent, Stefan Struve, comes in 25-5 and stands 6'11". Despite the height difference Struve only outweighs Barry by three pounds. Needless to say, the fight should be interesting.
Check back throughout the night for updates.
