Fantasy Football Week 7 Sleepers: Use Ryan Torain As A Bye Week Replacement Running Back

Ryan Torain is the type of player that is bound to drive fantasy football owners mad all season. In a matchup against the 30th ranked Philadelphia Eagles rushing defense last week, Torain put up only 2.20 fantasy points. But the moment you put him on your bench, he'll probably go off.

This week, Torain is set to be the starting running back for the Washington Redskins against the 31st ranked rushing defense of the Carolina Panthers. The fantasy football projection site numberFire has Torain slated to earn 9.10 fantasy points this week, but he could do much better. This high-risk high-reward player is in for a big day, so long as the Redskins don't fall behind by 14 points early in the game like they did against the Eagles.

Don't be silly and start Torain ahead of Michael Turner like I was dumb enough to do last week. But if you're looking for a bye week replacement for Benjarvis Green-Ellis or Fred Jackson, or if you need someone to fill in for an injured player like Jahvid Best or LeGarrette Blount, Torain could be your guy.
