Marine Corps Marathon Underway: Live Coverage On Comcast SportsNet

As of 8 a.m. Sunday morning, the Marine Corps Marathon is underway in the Washington D.C. metro area. The 26.2 mile course winds through Arlington and Washington, and is in its 36th year of existence. It is comprised of over 30,000 runners spanning 54 nations and all 50 states, including over 11,000 first-time participants.

Many service men and women are also involved in the marathon, and they will be looking to continue the winning tradition, as last year Air Force Lieutenant Jacob Bradosky was the first to cross the finish line.

The marathon is the main event of the weekend festivities, and can be seen on Comcast SportsNet. Runners and enthusiasts can check the times of the finishers online here, as well as look at pictures of the runners during the event and follow a live cam covering the action via streaming. Runners from the 10K and other events can view their race information on that page as well.

For more information on this marathon, stay glued to this Storystream and keep checking back for updates.
