2011 Bowl Projections: Navy Currently Slotted For Military Bowl, Still Need To Win Out

The Navy Midshipmen (4-6) kept their bowl hopes alive Saturday afternoon, upsetting the SMU Mustangs (6-4) in Dallas 24-17. Amazingly, Navy defeated SMU without completing one pass in the game.

To have any chance of making a bowl game, Coach Ken Niumatalolo's Midshipmen will have to defeat San Jose State on the road, and then defeat Army at FedEx Field in their final game of the season. Navy's likely bowl destination would then be the Military Bowl in Washington, DC.

The Maryland Terrapins will not be going to a bowl game in coach Randy Edsall's inaugural season. The Terps dropped their sixth straight game Saturday night, losing to Notre Dame 45-21, falling to 2-8 on the season.

Here is the current bowl projection for Navy. As noted above, 2-8 Maryland will not be going to a bowl game this season.
