College Football Rankings: ACC Places Four Teams In Top 25, Led By Virginia Tech

The ACC placed four teams in the Week 12 USA Today Top 25 poll. The Virginia Tech Hokies are the top ranked ACC club, landing in the top ten at the seven spot. The Hokies jumped up two spots after their impressive road win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Thursday night. The Yellow Jackets, which were coming off a win over previously undefeated Clemson, tumbled four spots from 19th to 23rd after the loss to the Hokies.

Clemson recovered from its loss to beat Wake Forest at home in Death Valley on Saturday. The Tigers tried their best to give the game away to the Demon Deacons, but rallied in the fourth quarter to tie it and then kick a game winning field goal as time expired. As a result, the Tigers jumped two spots from 10th to 8th in the USA Today poll - putting them just one spot behind the Hokies and setting up a potential top ten ACC Championship matchup.
