The Washington Capitals will make their first trip (sort of) to Winnipeg tonight to take on the newly relocated Jets. The game starts at 8:30 pm and can be seen on CSN Washington. The Capitlas are coming off a loss to the Nashville Predators over the weekend, but the Jets should provide an opportunity for them to get back on track.
Winnipeg has not enjoyed very much success this year in their first year after moving from Atlanta. They are just 6-9-3 on the season and rank towards the bottom of the NHL in a lot of important categories. They score just 2.6 goals per game (good for 19th in the NHL), and their 3.3 goals per game against average is good for just 25th in the League. The only stat where they sit near the top half of the league is power play percentage, where they are able to convert 15.9% of their chances.
