The Navy Midshipmen (4-6) visit the San Jose State Spartans (3-7, 2-4 Western Athletic Conference) this Saturday, Nov. 19, in their final game before their annual showdown with the Army Black Knights. They need to prevail in both contests in order to finish the season with bowl eligibility, so there's more than simply pride on the line when Navy takes the field at Spartan Stadium. It's won its last two games to bounce back from a horrid six-game losing streak and looks to maintain its progress against the struggling Spartans.
San Jose State has lost its last three games by a combined 14 points, including a one-point defeat against the Utah State Aggies last Sunday. The Spartans jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the first period, and held a 33-21 edge with 8:21 remaining in the fourth period before the Aggies rallied with two quick scores.
