Jets Vs. Capitals Score Update: All Tied 2-2 After The First Period

In a rematch of last weeks loss to the Winnepeg Jets, the Washington Capitals left the first period all tied up with the Jets 2-2. Alexander Semin struck first, scoring at the 5:23 mark with an assist from Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson. The Jets answered right back however, picking up a goal from Andrew Ladd, his seventh of the season, seven minutes later tying the game.

The Capitals were quick to respond, with Jason Chimera shot in a goal just 12 seconds after the Jets tied the game on Ladd's goal. Chimera got the assist from Brooks Laich and Karl Alzner. Nearly three minutes later however, the Jets once again tied the game thanks to a goal from Kyle Wellwood. The teams ended the first period locked up 2-2.
