Rangers Vs. Capitals: Michal Neuvirth To Start In Net For Washington

The Washington Capitals will turn to Michal Neuvirth to start at goalie when they square off against the New York Rangers in a Black Friday matinee at the Verizon Center. Neuvirth will get the start over Tomas Vokoun, who has started the past three games.

Neuvirth last started on the road against the Winnipeg Jets on November 17, picking up a loss. Overall, Neuvirth has struggled this season, with a 2-3 record, a 3.46 goals-against average and an .877 save percentage. Vokoun has been the stronger goalie, but the team is working to preserve his workload, and the hope is more playing time will be beneficial for getting Neuvirth back to where he was last season.
