Capitals Vs. Sabres: Tomas Vokoun To Start, Mathieu Perreault Returns To Lineup

Tomas Vokoun will start for the Washington Capitals Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres, according to The Washington Post's Katie Carrera.

Michal Neuvirth started Friday in the Caps' 6-3 loss to the New York Rangers. Considering the back-to-back games and Neuvirth's performance Friday. Vokoun starting was more or less a formality.

Mathieu Perreault will also return to the lineup in place of Cody Eakin. Perreault has been scratched in seven of the last 11 games for Washington. John Erskine will miss tonight's game as he continues to recover from a fall on his surgically repaired shoulder that occurred last Sunday at practice.

Meanwhile, the Sabres are missing nine regulars, including Ryan Miller, Brad Boyes, Tyler Myers and Tyler Ennis. To fill the roster, Buffalo recalled Brayden McNabb and Paul Szczechura from AHL Rochester.
