The James Madison Dukes (8-4) scored ten points in the fourth quarter to erase a 17-10 deficit, and defeated the Eastern Kentucky Colonels (7-5) on a Cameron Starke 35-yard field goal with no time left to advance to the second round of the 2011 FCS Playoffs.
Jordan Anderson was the star of the game for the Dukes, carrying the ball 15 times for 71 yards and two scores, a one yard run that gave JMU a 7-0 lead early and a 24-yard run that tied the game at 17-17 in the fourth quarter. As a team, JMU rushed the ball a whopping 68 times for 244 yards, controlling the pigkin for 40:30.
With the victory, the Dukes will now travel to Fargo to take on the No. 2 seed North Dakota State Bison. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00pm ET next Saturday, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
