Redskins Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Rex Grossman Is Near-Perfect, Washington Leads, 7-0, After First Quarter

Offensively, the Washington Redskins may have played their best first quarter of the season. From the opening kick, the Redskins offensive unit has dictated the pace and movement of the game, marching to a 7-0 lead over the Seattle Seahawks with more than 150 yards in total offense and eight first downs.

Redskin quarterback Rex Grossman looked like a star, completing about 90 percent of his passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. Grossman repeatedly connected with tight end Fred Davis, including a two-yard touchdown catch. Davis hauled in three catches for more than 50 yards to go with the touchdown.

Rookie running back Roy Helu, starting the first game of his NFL career, looks electric. Through the first quarter, Helu combined for more than 50 yards between the air and on the ground. Veteran Santana Moss caught a pass after missing the last month with a hand injury.
