The Washington Capitals have a busy slate this week, but no matter what happens in the games, it will be remembered as the first week on the job for new head coach Dale Hunter after former coach Bruce Boudreau was let go on Monday morning.

Hunter's first game as head coach will be against the St. Louis Blues in Washington on Tuesday night, meaning he doesn't have a whole lot of time to get his system in place and the players playing his type of hockey before his first test. The Blues are a good team, with three more points than the Capitals on the season. That game starts at 7 and can be seen on CSN.

As good of a test as the Blues will be, the biggest game of the week comes on Thursday when they will host the rival Pittsburgh Penguins and Sidney Crosby. Between the matchup between Crosby and Alex Ovechkin and the new head coach, there will almost be too many storylines to count. That game also starts at 7 and can be seen on CSN and NHL Network.

Finally, the Capitals will host the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. That game starts at 7 and can be seen on CSN and CBC.

We'll have plenty more on these games throughout the week on SB Nation D.C., but for more on the Capitals, check out Japers' Rink.
