Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: Washington Redskins Improve To No. 20 In FOX Sports List

The Washington Redskins ended their six-game losing streak on Sunday with a 23-17, come-from-behind victory on the road against the Seattle Seahawks. Roy Helu brough Washington to within three, at 17-14, with a fourth-quarter rushing touchdown, and the Redskins followed that score up with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Rex Grossman to Anthony Armstrong. Graham Gano added a late field goal to make the final margin 23-17. As a result, former NFL coach and current FOX Sports analyst Brian Billick saw fit to move Washington up to No. 20 in his latest NFL Power Rankings, a four-spot improvement over last week. Here's Billick's take on Washington following its Week 12 victory:

Rex Grossman may throw way too many interceptions, but this team is better with him behind center . . . for now. If Roy Helu doesn't get the bulk of the carries next weekend, I am done trying to anticipate the game plan of the Redskins moving forward.

Coming back against the 4-7 Seahawks may not seem like much, but for a Washington team beset by injuries and ineptitude for the balance of the season, it's certainly a step in the right direction. Its modest improvement in Billick's power rankings reflects that.
