Nate Britt, a 6'2'' point guard from Gonzaga High School in Washington D.C. that is one of the top recruits in the Class of 2013, has announced he will be committing to North Carolina. Britt chose North Carolina over a number of schools, including Arizona, Georgetown and Maryland.

Britt is currently a four-star recruit that is ranked No. 11 in the Class of 2013, according to Rivals.com. It remains to be seen if he holds that ranking through his senior year in high school, especially if some of his peers outgrow him. However, he certainly looks to be a good option as a replacement for Kendall Marshall once he leaves.

Most suspected Britt would chose North Carolina, and Terps and Hoyas fans only harbored an outside chance of securing a commitment from the D.C. point guard. Of course, that didn't stop Terps fans from expressing their displeasure at Britt's decision during the Terps' game against Illinois.
