Stars Vs. Capitals: Mike Green Out, Michal Neuvirth To Start

BALLSTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals held their morning skate as usual at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in preparation of Tuesday's game against the Dallas Stars. All active roster members took part in the skate, including defenseman Mike Green, who hasn't played since October 22. Yet, Green skated with the scratches and performed skating drills long after his teammates left, meaning that he will not play Tuesday.

Green was not made available to the media following practice, but head coach Bruce Boudreau said that "right now, it is" a possibility that Green could return this weekend during back-to-back games with the New Jersey Devils.

Forward Jay Beagle skated on his own before practice, according to a team spokesman. Boudreau said that that was the plan as Beagle gets closer to being cleared for contact in practice. Beagle has yet to play or fully practice since his fight with the Pittsburgh Penguins' Arron Asham October 13.

Meanwhile, Michal Neuvirth left the ice first, meaning that he will start against the Stars. Mathieu Perreault joined Green and Tomas Vokoun in the scratches skate and will likely sit Tuesday.
