Tashard Choice Injury Update: RB Could Make Washington Redskins Debut Sunday

Tashard Choice could make his Washington Redskins debut this Sunday, Nov. 13, when the Redskins visit the Miami Dolphins. "I'm rolling," the four-year veteran told the media Wednesday. "I can't wait." An injured hamstring ruled him out of action in Washington's 19-11 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Nov. 6. Roy Helu got 10 of the Redskins' 15 carries in that contest, running for 41 yards.

The Redskins claimed Choice, a running back, off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 31, two days after the Cowboys waived him and seven after they learned starting running back Tim Hightower would miss the remainder of the 2011 season.

In his career, spent almost entirely as a backup, Choice has 250 carries for 1139 yards, a 4.6 yards per carry average. He also has eight rushing touchdowns. Dallas waived him in order to make room on the roster for rookie linebacker Bruce Carter.
