On Saturday night, the Washington, D.C.hometown boy Lamont Peterson will take on Amir "Killer" Khan for both the IBF and WBA light-welterweight titles. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m. ET on HBO, where it will be airing live from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
The co-main event of the evening features Brandywine, Maryland's own Seth Mitchell, will hope to add on to his undefeated 23-0-1 record in the heavyweight division. He faces off against Timur Ibragimov, a boxer from Uzbekistan who holds a career record of 31-3-1, including 16 wins by knockout.
