Khan Vs. Peterson Fight Announced As A Sellout

With a boxing title fight returning to Washington D.C. for the first time in 18 years, there has been lots of anticipation around the city. That anticipation has apparently resulted in all the seats being filled for the Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson fight at the D.C. Convention Center. The event has been announced as a sellout, according to ESPN's Dan Rafael.

Richard Schaefer has informed that the show here in DC is a clean sellout. Congrats. #Boxing is dead? Whatever. #KhanPeterson

Tickets were going fast throughout the week, so this is not a surprise. The D.C. Convention Center has been converted into a 12,000-seat arena, and all 12,000 of those seats are filled to watch Khan defend his WBA and IBF light welterweight belts against the local challenger in Peterson.
